- I might be a bit bias when it comes to this series but I absolutely adore the art and story line. Part of it is because I use to dream of going back in time like this.
Bea is such a strong character and I love all the famous faces that are piping up. The character deaths, even though I know they are coming, always make me sad.
I simply can't wait for the next piece of the story. - I love this series so much. I wish there was more! The characters and story are so interesting and the art is absolutely fabulous! The dreamer series is my favorite. Maybe even more than I love Spiderman...
- What a beautiful book. This is my favorite of the three thus far. The artwork really draws you in, and the story really hits you with the reality of what it was like to be in the Revolutionary War. I remember reading about various historical figures in history class, but Lora Innes really brings these people to life--Nathan Hale, Thomas Knowlton, etc. (Knowlton would be one of my favorite characters in the series, and he's handled really, really well.) Innes is a master at visual storytelling; this one gets frequent rereads at our house.
- I suppose it's not a spoiler to say you'll want a hanky for the end of Nathan Hale's story. One of the most touching versions of the story I've ever seen. I followed the comic online for several years, and am so glad to have the three volumes in book form. Lora's drawings are funny and moving and beautiful. I've never been a fan of the modern-day part of the story, but I love what she's done with the historical part.
- After binge reading these first three volumes, it's going to be hard to going to a page a week -- but at least I'll be able to get that. Thank God for the Dream comic website! I don't know Lora Innes personally, but I'm glad I found the site and the comics. One of my new favorite things to fangirl over. )
- As always, great artwork and history go hand in hand to give another stunning visual treat of a tale! Don't miss this one.
- Awesome
