- Okay, I am going to start this review with an admission, I took Robin Sawyers class in College, and LOVED it. That said, this book brings Dr. Sawyers's witty, open, and informative approach to sex ed directly to your home. Instead of inundating the reader with medical terms or anatomy lessons Dr. Sawyer draws on his experience with college students to answer every question you can think of. Not afraid to touch on topics that can be taboo Dr. Sawyer creates a safe environment for his reader to get frank answers to real questions. This is a must have not only for an adult reader, but for college level students as well.
- Sawyer's book is a funny and informative as he is. I took his class at the University of Maryland and he is an incredible instructor. He tells stories that are interesting and funny and then tells you what we can learn about sexuality from them. He also is very informative and summarizes things without using technical words. This book would be perfect for those who are learning about sexual health for the first time or those who have had a limited knowledge of sexual health for some time. This book is truly about sexual awareness and he does it well. What is so impressive is that he is funny and sensitive at the same time. With such taboo topics he really makes it easy to read and doesn't make the reader feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. He makes it so you can't put the book down about a topic that most people might not choose to read about. So whether you are taking his class, looking for reliable information, or just want to be entertained, Sawyer's book is a terrific choice.

- I checked this book out from the library out of sheer curiosity. I'm actually surprised at some of the questions in this book. Are people really this clueless about these issues?? And some of them just weren't questions I'd ever care to ask or hear the answer to. When I first reviewed the book I criticized the author for the apparent male-bashing throughout the book, but it turns out the author is a man. So, he's obviously going for humor, but I felt it was just counter-productive in this case, and it didn't really do it for me.
Anyway, if you want to kill some time this is an ok read. - Dr. Sawyer has some very lucky university students. In the safe environment of a human sexuality class, students are given facts, statistics, guidance, explanations and advice in response to their (sometimes shocking) questions about sex. Sawyer serves his science and facts with wit and humor, a combination that makes the book as informative as it is engaging. Among the professorial expertise and playful banter, there are also stern reminders to practice safe sex, especially while out there in the wonderful world of learning. Lacking the presence of a Dr. Sawyer on every campus, spread this book around. It's required reading!
